What should I do if my child has a toothache?
Begin with a gentle rinse of warm salt water and monitor for signs of swelling or fever. Call our Pasadena office. If the pain persists, we’ll schedule a quick exam and any necessary treatment.
Why are my gums bleeding when I brush my teeth?
Bleeding gums often signal early gum inflammation (gingivitis). We’ll assess your brushing technique, remove plaque buildup, and recommend a tailored home care routine to soothe your gums.
How often should I have a dental cleaning?
We recommend a professional hygiene visit every six months to remove plaque, monitor gum health, and keep your smile sparkling. If you have risk factors (e.g., gum inflammation), we may suggest more frequent visits.
What if I have a cavity or a broken tooth?
Don’t wait, call us right away. We’ll repair with a discreet, tooth-colored filling or crown to restore function and prevent further damage.
What can I do if I’m missing one or more teeth?
Options include dental implants, fixed bridges, or quality partial dentures. We’ll review your goals, budget, and bone health to recommend the best solution for a complete, confident smile.
I’m scared of the dentist - What are my options?
We understand dental anxiety and offer nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) for a calming, safe experience. Our team also takes extra time to explain each step and uses gentle techniques to keep you relaxed.
What are dental sealants?
Sealants are a thin, protective coating applied to the chewing surfaces of back teeth. They block out food and bacteria, reducing the risk of cavities, which is especially helpful for kids and adults prone to cavities.
What’s the difference between veneers and crowns?
  • Veneers are ultra-thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of teeth for cosmetic enhancements (shape, colour, minor chips).
  • Crowns cap the entire tooth, restoring strength after large fillings, root canals, or significant damage.
Is cosmetic bonding the same as fillings?
    While both use tooth-colored resin:
  • Cosmetic bonding focuses on reshaping or covering minor imperfections (gaps, chips, discoloration).
  • Fillings repair decay by replacing lost tooth structure.
